Such a treat to share the stage with fingerstyle master Loren Barrigar at Tunes By the Tracks in Clifton Springs, NY.
Loren Barrigar was the featured artist on Oct. 18, 2023 at Tunes By the Tracks in Clifton Springs. I was lucky enough to have him accompany me on this favorite Guy Clark song.
The first historical record of the song was by ethnomusicologist John Lomax in 1909. He reportedly recorded it as sung by an African-American woman named Dink. It’s been covered by many, especially during the folk music revival decades of the 1950s and ‘60s.

Channeling David Bromberg here with a staple from his live shows: "I Like To Sleep Late in the Morning."

Lightnin' Hopkins cover. Texas blues, y'all
Here's an impromptu "L.A. Freeway" during one of Gordon Munding's Slide of Hand Jams at B Side in Fairport, N.Y. with Greg Franklin on bass and Levon Jones on drums, and a guy I hadn't met whose name I never got on keyboard.
This is my tongue-in-cheek take on Robert Johnson's "Kind Hearted Woman." ("I Love my guitar; My guitar, she don't love me.")
"Blackjack Maisie," an original song of mine, performing here with Hope Machine and friends at their annual hootenanny.
The old Highway 61 used to run right down from the U.S. - Canada border in Northeast Minnesota, down the Mississippi River through the Delta regions to New Orleans. In his memoir, "Chronicles: Volume One," Dylan describes it as the main thoroughfare of country blues.
A great finger picking blues "I Will Turn Your Money Green," by Furry Lewis.
